Graduate ceremony for Monegasque Professional Certification

On Monday 4 December 2023, H.E. the Minister of State, Pierre DARTOUT, in the presence of Mr Etienne FRANZI, President of the Monaco Association for Financial Activities (AMAF) and many other well-known people, welcomed to his Residence the graduates of the Monegasque Professional Certifications set up by the AMAF.

Professional Banking, Financial and ESG Certification came into force in 2014 and is a compulsory requirement for all working with clients or markets (managers, sellers, financial analysts and trading room operators), to reinforce the skills level of teams in banking and financial establishments. Since it was created, no fewer than 963 Professionals of the Monaco Marketplace have been certified, with an annual success rate of over 82%.

Concerning LCB/FT-C Certification, aimed at those responsible for fighting Money Laundering, the Financing of Terrorism and Corruption, along with their colleagues, this is currently at the forefront of Monaco’s activities.

The 2 sessions that have taken place since the initiative was set up in November 2022 have allowed 74 people to gain certification with a success rate of 90%.

Finally, Internal Control of Financial Activities Certification, aimed at those responsible for internal control in companies authorised by the Financial Activities Supervisory Commission, along with their colleagues, and set up in June 2023, has registered 23 certifications with a success rate of 96%.

In his speech, the Minister of State congratulated AMAF for its work in regulating, organising and promoting the financial and banking hub of the Principality, especially concerning the arrangements put in place to fight money laundering, terrorism and corruption, as well as for the leading role it plays in striving for excellence and professionalism in this sector.
