Administrative office

Administrative offices and branches of foreign companies are established by companies whose registered office is not in the Principality of Monaco. Their sole purpose is for management, coordination or supervision where oversight is carried out on an actual and regular basis.

Licenses are granted for a limited period and must be renewed. No commercial activities may be performed by an administrative office.

The firm appoints a management agent for this administrative office, known as "agent responsable", who generally has the status of a salaried worker.

The opening of an administrative office is subject to being granted official permit.

Branches of foreign companies must obtain a license and register with the Trade and Industry Register (Registre du Commerce et de l’Industrie, RCI).
