Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe is destined to play for one of the top clubs in world football, according to his team-mate Fabinho.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a stunning breakthrough season at the Ligue 1 club, scoring 19 times in 32 appearances and helping knock Manchester City out of the Champions League en route to the quarter-finals.
The teenage star was rewarded for his electric club form with a senior international call-up, earning his first cap for France in a 3-1 win over Luxembourg on Saturday.
And with his career on the rise, Fabinho believes Mbappe is only going one way from here.
He told Chuteira FC: ‘We know that sooner or later he will end up at Real Madrid, Barcelona or a club of that calibre.
‘But so long as he is still with us, we are going to profit from that!’
Mbappe scored in both legs as Monaco dumped Man City out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage earlier this month.
His starring role earned glowing reviews across Europe, and Fabinho was eager to praise his team-mate’s talents.
He added: ‘Mbappe’s tremendous. For an 18-year-old, he has such maturity both on and off the pitch. He’s playing a decisive role and scoring lots of goals.
‘For someone his age playing in the level of competitions that we’re playing in, that’s not easy. And I haven’t even mentioned how quick he is.’
