At the COP 21 conference, the Principality pledged to halve its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 when compared with 1990 levels, i.e. four times faster than at the current rate.
The scale of the challenge is such that the entire Monegasque community now needs to engage with this issue.
Monaco’s three main greenhouse gas sources are fossil fuel consumption for heating, energy recovery from households waste and fuel consumption for transport.
