The players and management of A.S. Monaco Football Club were at the Residence of the Minister of State today on the occasion of a lunch held in connection with the partnership convention signed at the start of the season by the Prince’s Government and the Principality’s football club.
The Minister of State, Serge Telle, encouraged the team prior to the eagerly awaited last 16 return match of the Champions League versus Manchester City. He also recalled that the club is an important aspect of Monegasque identity and gives a great deal of pleasure – particularly this season – thanks to its excellent sports results.
Vadim Vasilyev, Vice-President and Managing Director of A.S. Monaco Football Club, on behalf of the club and its President, Mr. Dmitry Rybolovlev, thanked the Prince’s Government for its day-to day support in achieving the highest aims. He also recalled that the club has a role as an Ambassador of the Principality and referred to the pride associated with wearing its colours. Mr Vasilyev concluded by hoping that the Principality would be even more proud of its players at the end of the season.
