Dmitry Rybolovlev, the billionaire President of Monaco Football Club has been arrested along with his high-profile lawyer, Tetiana Bersheda. The charge is multi-million euros alleged art fraud.
Dmitry Rybolovlev, president of AS Monaco, was placed Tuesday morning in custody, alongside with his lawyer, Tetiana Bersheda.
This former Russian oligarch refugee on the Rock had complained at home, early 2015, against his art dealer, Yves Bouvier for “scam”.
Exactly this is the case, why the arrest happened, the case of the collection of 37 paintings for which the patron of the AS Monaco football club believes have been defrauded.
This procedure, more specifically, follows a complaint from the Monaco resident Tania Rappo, which may be involved in this case, and who believes to have been the victim of illegal listens on the part of the Russian billionaire and his counsel.
In a statement, their two lawyers Géraldine Gazo and Gérard Baudoux underline:
“Mr. Dmitry Rybolovlev and Me Tetiana Bersheda were heard following the complaint filed in Monaco by Ms. Tania Rappo for a nickname upon his private and family life.
They could raise its childish and pathetic for this action which is designed to create a smoke screen and conceal the reality of the actions complained of by the victim companies.”
Meanwhile, Frank Michel lawyer of Tania Rappo, declares:
Monegasque justice is finally to go.
Monaco justice thus demonstrates its independence; even if some were believed be able to hijack it for their benefit.
