Princess Charlene of Monaco debuted a new hairstyle as she stepped out for a charity gala dinner on Saturday night.

The 40-year-old wore her short blonde locks in a chic centre parting, a departure from her signature swept back or side parted looks.

The royal, who is married to Prince Albert, 60, joined her brother Gareth Wittstock and former South African rugby player Francois Pienaar, for the glittering event, which benefited the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

The fundraiser was held ahead of the Riviera Water Bike Challenge, which sees high-profile athletes race water bikes off the coast of Monaco.

Five-time Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe is among those taking part in this year’s competition.

Princess Charlene was at her glamorous best in a navy one-shoulder jumpsuit at last night’s event.

Showcasing her typically polished look, the royal kept her accessories to a minimum and highlighted her natural beauty with just a slick of coral lipstick and dark eyeliner.
