In the morning of Wednesday 11 April, HSH Prince Albert II welcomed HE Jorge Carlos de Almeida Fonseca, President of Cape Verde, to the Palace of Monaco for the 2nd Monaco Ocean Week.
On this occasion, the Sovereign Prince and Jorge Fonseca discussed relations between their two countries before going to the Grimaldi Forum together to attend Ever Monaco 2018, a trade fair focusing on Ecological Vehicles and Renewable Energy.
In the afternoon, HSH Prince Albert II and HE Jorge Carlos de Almeida Fonseca went to the Oceanographic Museum to watch a Monaco Explorations film on Mission Cabo Verde, in which the Sovereign Prince participated last October and handed over work carried out in the Sargasso Sea (French Antilles).
Later, a framework agreement on cooperation was signed in the presence of the two Heads of State to bolster relations between Cape Verde and Monaco.
This working visit ended with a dinner at the Palace of Monaco offered by Prince Albert.
