In connection with “The Forbidden City in Monaco – Life at the Court of the Emperors and Empresses of China” exhibition.

Each educational workshop (with a maximum of 25 children per group) includes a fun visit to the exhibition “The Forbidden City in Monaco – Life at the Court of the Emperors and Empresses of China” and a visual arts class aimed at developing children’s creativity through various activities inspired by artistic references that can be discovered during the guided tour.

For children aged 4 to 6 – from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Monday 17 & 24 July: A Court Portrait – Creating a drawing on Chinese paper.

Tuesday 18th & 25 July: Inspiration from the Garden – Drawing and composition based on bamboo leaves.

Wednesday 19 & 26 July: Calligraphy – Discovering Chinese ink and calligraphy.

Thursday 20 & 27 July: Architecture – Drawing the various aspects that characterize the architecture of the Forbidden City.

Friday 21 & 28 July: A large collective screen – The children will collectively create an installation, which will then be exhibited and presented in the hall of the Grimaldi Forum.

For children aged 7 to 11 – from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Monday 17 & 24 July: A Court Portrait – Creating a portrait of a Manchu prince on Chinese paper.

Tuesday 18 & 25 July: The Chinese landscape – Composing a landscape that is typical of Chinese painting.

Wednesday 19 & 26 July: Calligraphy – Discovering Chinese ink and calligraphy.

Thursday 20 & 27 July: Buddhism – Based on “Thanga” painting – creating a work that is typical of Buddhist temples.

Friday 21 & 28 July: A large collective screen – The children will collectively create an installation, which will then be exhibited and presented in the hall of the Grimaldi Forum.
