As of 1 February 2017, Stefano M.A. Spurio, who is currently in charge of Investment Advisory for Geneva, Lugano, Monaco and UK, will take over the new role of Head Intermediaries Western Switzerland, Monaco and Middle East.
Zurich, 16 January 2017 – Stefano M.A. Spurio, Head Investment Advisory for Geneva, Lugano, Monaco and UK, will take over the new role of Head Intermediaries Western Switzerland, Monaco and Middle East as of 1 February 2017. After joining Julius Baer in 2005, Stefano Spurio covered various senior roles in Investment Advisory for Private Banking and External Asset Managers for the French-speaking part of Switzerland. In 2010, he additionally set up the advisory offering in Monaco. In 2011, he took over the coverage of the Dubai office and has been a member of the Investment Committee since then.
Stefano Spurio holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Geneva and a Master’s degree in International Management from the University of Lausanne.
In his new role, Stefano Spurio will report to Gian A. Rossi, Head Region Switzerland, and be part of the Management Committee of Region Switzerland.
“We are confident that with his investment expertise and management skills, Stefano will positively contribute to the future development of the Intermediaries segment, a key business area and a significant revenue contributor for the Bank,” Gian Rossi said.
